The eight-day 4th Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF2021) which is aimed as the global discussion and development of Ayurveda, will be held virtually from March 12 2021, making it one of India’s largest online events in Ayurveda.
The festival which was originally scheduled to be held in Angamaly from May 16 to 20, 2020, had been postponed due to COVID 19 Pandemic.
Ayurveda Goes Virtual
The event, which is going to be held on a high-end online platform by the Center for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), is led by the Ayurveda Medical Association of India (AMAI), the Ayurveda Hospital Management Association, the Ayurveda Drugs Manufacturers Association and the Kisma-Self Financing Management Association, which are some of the leading organizations in the country and abroad, Festival Chairman and Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan, said in a recent release.
The Global Ayurveda festival will be conducted in collaboration with 14 organizations. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI) is the festival partner and industry partner.
This is the first time such a large conference to be held in the virtual reality. The 8-day festival will feature 12 seminars per day at five venues.
The Conference aims to focus on the relevance of Ayurveda in the post-COVID world and the enhancing immunity with the potential of Ayurveda.
International Participation
This edition of the exhibition will be held virtually and will have stalls of ayurvedic companies from all over the world. In addition to experts from within the country, many people from foreign countries will attend the conference virtually. As business meet is conducted virtually, more possibilities are available in this field, the Minister said.
Official delegates from more than 60 countries attended the curtain raiser meeting organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in February 2020 in New Delhi. The festival is organized in collaboration with various departments of the Central and state governments.
Delegates from different countries will share their experiences in the virtual meeting. The requirements will be put forward and the possibility of its participation will be discussed.
Steps have already been taken to attract ayurvedic products manufacturers and other stakeholders inside and outside Kerala, including foreign investment.
Aruyveda in the Modern World
The Ayurveda exhibition will showcase technologies, products and services focusing on medical tourism, herbs and research.
There will be special pavilions of Ayurveda colleges and special pavilions introducing the modern face of Ayurvedic science and the medicinal flora of Kerala.
The event, which showcases Ayurveda as a global treatment program, will serve as a meeting place for those working towards this goal around the world. Participants ready to wish to join in seminars on Virtual Festival may submit their essay on the website www.gaf.co.in before January 10.
