The Indian Dental Association (IDA) will organise the Hyderabad Dental Convention (HDC) 2026 on 25–26 July 2026 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad. The two-day event will be inaugurated by Telangana Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Damodar Raja Narsimha on 25 July.
Senior IDA office-bearers, including Dr. Manoj Srivastava (President, IDA Headquarters), Dr. Nitin Barve (President-Elect), and Dr. Ashok Dhoble (Honorary Secretary General), are expected to attend the inaugural ceremony.
Theme Highlights Innovation and Collaboration
Held under the theme “Connecting Minds, Advancing Dentistry,” HDC 2026 is expected to attract more than 6,000 dental professionals, academicians, researchers, students, and industry representatives from across India.
One of the key highlights of this year’s edition is a dedicated focus on Sports Dentistry, where experts will discuss athlete oral health, dental trauma prevention, custom mouthguards, emergency care protocols, and the growing integration of dentistry with sports medicine.
Scientific Sessions and Workshops
The scientific programme will feature leading national and international speakers presenting the latest developments in digital dentistry, implantology, esthetic rehabilitation, endodontics, orthodontics, preventive dentistry, artificial intelligence, biomaterials, and minimally invasive treatment approaches. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend hands-on workshops and clinical training sessions on digital workflows, imaging technologies, advanced materials, and modern treatment techniques.
Large-Scale Trade Exhibition and Student Platform
HDC 2026 will also host one of India’s largest Dental Trade Exhibitions, with 250+ national and international exhibitors showcasing advanced dental equipment, technologies, and oral healthcare solutions.
Another major attraction will be UDAAN, an academic and cultural platform featuring scientific paper presentations, poster competitions, table clinics, quizzes, debates, music, dance, and cultural performances, offering students and young professionals an opportunity to showcase their talent and skills.
Ahead of the convention, the HDC 2026 organising committee and IDA office-bearers met Shri Damodar Raja Narsimha and formally invited him to attend the event as the Chief Guest.
