NürnbergMesse and Messe Berlin have announced a strategic partnership for the Indian market, bringing their leading food industry trade fairs together in Mumbai for the first time. BIOFACH INDIA and FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India will be co-located from May 25–27, 2028, at the Jio World Convention Centre.

While both exhibitions will continue to maintain their individual identities, positioning and market focus, the collaboration is expected to create new business opportunities across India’s organic food and fresh produce sectors.

“By bringing together two leading exhibition brands, we are combining international networks and industry expertise to create a central meeting point
for the food industry in Asia,” said Petra Wolf, Senior Vice President Product
Management, NurnbergMesse Group.

Co-Location to Expand Business and Networking Opportunities

The co-location will provide exhibitors and buyers with access to complementary business communities and a broader international network. By bringing the two events together, the organisers aim to create a new platform connecting closely related segments of the food industry and facilitate greater interaction across the value chain.

The partnership is expected to support collaboration and knowledge exchange across areas including sustainable production, international trade, supply chains, logistics, innovation, technology and retail.

As part of the global BIOFACH exhibition network, BIOFACH INDIA has established itself as a leading trade fair for India’s organic food sector. Meanwhile, FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India marks Messe Berlin’s entry into the Indian fresh produce market through a dedicated exhibition format based on its internationally recognised FRUIT LOGISTICA brand.

Partnership Targets Growth in Organic Food and Fresh Produce

The collaboration reflects the increasing convergence between the organic food and fresh produce industries, particularly around sustainability, efficient supply chains, technology and evolving consumer preferences.

Sonia Prashar, Managing Director, NürnbergMesse India:

“Our partnership with Messe Berlin reflects a shared vision of bringing together two globally recognized exhibition brands in a way that creates new business opportunities for our customers. We are confident that the co-location of BIOFACH INDIA and FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India will further support the growth of India’s organic food and fresh produce sectors.”

Katrina Leung, Managing Director & Vice President Asia Pacific, Messe Berlin:

“The co-location of FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect India and BIOFACH INDIA will create new opportunities for exhibitors, buyers and industry stakeholders while preserving the unique identity of each event. Together with NürnbergMesse, we look forward to strengthening international business connections and supporting the long-term development of both industries.”
