16th Edition of Poultry India Expo 2024 Concludes Successfully

The 16th edition of Poultry India Expo 2024, South Asia’s largest poultry exhibition, concluded with resounding success on November 29, 2024, at the HITEX Exhibition Complex in Hyderabad. Held from November 27 to 29, 2024, the event attracted over 40,000 attendees, including poultry farmers, industry professionals, and policymakers from around the world, making it a landmark gathering for the poultry industry.

Inauguration and Key Highlights

The Expo was inaugurated by Dr. O.P. Chaudhary, Joint Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DH&D), Government of India, who emphasized the critical role of the poultry industry in India’s food security and rural employment. In his speech, Mr. day Singh Bayas, President of IPEM/Poultry India, highlighted the sector’s importance, stressing that, “The poultry sector is vital in addressing India’s protein needs and sustaining rural livelihoods. Urgent policy support is required to manage rising input costs, especially feed, to ensure sustained growth.”

This year’s Expo featured over 400 exhibitors from more than 15 countries, showcasing innovations in poultry science, advanced equipment, animal health, and sustainable management practices. The exhibition provided invaluable insights for industry professionals on emerging trends and future developments in poultry production.

Knowledge Day Seminar

Before the Expo, the Knowledge Day seminar held on November 26, 2024, at the Hotel Novotel, HICC, Hyderabad, attracted over 1,500 delegates from more than 15 countries. The seminar, themed “Shaping the Future of the Indian Poultry Sector,” addressed critical challenges such as advanced poultry nutrition, animal health, feed technology, and disease control, with expert insights shared by global leaders. The seminar was inaugurated by Shri Sabyasachi Ghosh, IS, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana.

Networking, Innovation, and Collaboration

Poultry India Expo 2024 served as a vibrant platform for networking and knowledge exchange, offering participants the chance to explore cuttingedge advancements in poultry production, health, nutrition, and feed technology. Discussions centered on emerging technologies, sustainable practices, and addressing industry challenges such as supply chain disruptions, environmental impacts, and disease management.
