The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 is set to return for its third edition at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, from September 25 to 29, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to inaugurate the event on the opening day.
According to an official announcement, this year’s edition will spotlight the state’s industrial, agricultural, cultural, and innovation strengths on a global platform. Notably, Russia will participate as the Partner Country, adding a new dimension of international collaboration.
Key Highlights of UPITS 2025:
- ODOP Pavilion: A special attraction featuring 343 stalls dedicated to Uttar Pradesh’s famed “One District, One Product” (ODOP) initiative, showcasing Bhadohi carpets, Firozabad glasswork, Moradabad metalware, Saharanpur woodcraft, and more. The pavilion will also foster business partnerships among startups, designers, and international buyers.
- India–Russia Business Dialogue (Sept 26): A platform for policymakers, industrialists, financial institutions, insurance firms, and academia from both nations to explore strategic collaborations.
- Exhibitor Growth: The show has expanded rapidly since its inception in 2023. From 1,914 exhibitors in the inaugural edition to over 2,122 in 2024, UPITS has now set the stage for more than 2,500 exhibitors, 500 foreign buyers, and an expected footfall exceeding half a million visitors in 2025.
Special Features This Year:
- Technology & Innovation: A live demonstration of an AI model by the IT and Electronics Department in a 200-square-metre pavilion, along with smart video displays, a curved LED wall, a startup zone, and a VIP lounge.
- Culinary Showcase: Under the theme Swad Uttar Pradesh, 25 food stalls will serve traditional delicacies such as Moradabadi dal, Banarasi paan and lassi, Panchhi petha, Jain shikanji, Mathura peda, and Khurja’s khurchan.
- Education & Youth Engagement (Sept 27): Signing of MoUs by 27 premier institutions, participation of final-year students and alumni, and financial backing from banks and industry leaders. CM Yuva Fellows from all 75 districts will promote local brands via digital campaigns and conclave.cmyuva.org.in.
- Knowledge Sessions (Sept 26–28): Industry experts will guide participants on themes including startups, IT and electronics, healthcare, insurance, e-commerce exports, and skill development.
- Cultural Extravaganza: A vibrant line-up of Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Bundeli, and Tharu folk traditions, alongside Sufi music, Kathak recitals, and light music. Performances will feature noted artistes like Dinesh Lal “Nirahua,” Padma Shri Malini Awasthi, and Pratibha Singh Baghel.
Growing Legacy:
Since its debut in 2023—launched by President Droupadi Murmu—UPITS has doubled its scale and impact within two years. The 2024 edition, inaugurated by then Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, drew 500,000 visitors and generated export orders worth over ₹2,200 crore, with direct sales exceeding ₹40 crore.
With its mix of commerce, culture, technology, and international participation, UPITS 2025 is poised to further strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s image as a hub of opportunity and global business engagement.
