The Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) successfully hosted the FAITH Conclave 2026 on 16–17 July 2026 at the Taj Palace, New Delhi, bringing together policymakers, tourism leaders, hospitality professionals, aviation stakeholders, and industry experts to chart a transformative roadmap for India’s tourism economy. The conclave was held under the theme “Incredible India: Invaluable Economics.”

The two-day conclave focused on positioning tourism as one of India’s strongest economic growth engines, with deliberations on policy reforms, infrastructure development, aviation connectivity, destination competitiveness, sustainable tourism, and public-private collaboration. The event reinforced the industry’s collective vision of making tourism a significant contributor to India’s GDP, employment generation, and regional development.

Senior representatives from the Government of India, state tourism departments, airlines, hotel chains, travel companies, convention centres, and tourism associations participated in high-level discussions aimed at strengthening India’s global tourism competitiveness. Sessions also highlighted the importance of year-round tourism, frontier destinations, digital transformation, and investment in tourism infrastructure.

As the apex policy federation representing India’s travel, tourism, and hospitality sector, FAITH reiterated the need for closer collaboration between government and industry to unlock the country’s immense tourism potential. The conclave emphasized that tourism is not merely a service sector but a strategic economic multiplier capable of driving inclusive growth, employment, entrepreneurship, and foreign exchange earnings.

TFT Perspective:

For the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry, the FAITH Conclave carries special significance. As India continues to invest in world-class convention infrastructure—including Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi, and several emerging convention destinations—the convergence of tourism, aviation, hospitality, and business events presents a unique opportunity to position India among the world’s leading MICE destinations.

TradeFairTimes believes that sustained policy support, destination marketing, seamless connectivity, and continued investment in exhibition and convention infrastructure will be instrumental in achieving the Government’s vision of making tourism a major pillar of India’s economic development.
