TFT : Thank you for giving your precious time to speak with TFT. Can you share some insight on ALUMINIUM INDIA 2015?
SANDEEP GURWARA : Reed SI Exhibitions, one of the global leaders from the exhibition industry, is once again organizing the international exhibition and conference – ALUMINIUM INDIA 2015, at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, between 7th to 9th September 2015. This is the only well established & comprehensive exhibition in India, on the Aluminium sector, which brings together the top decision-makers, manufacturers, end-users and suppliers, not just from the Aluminium industry but also from a vast array of application industries. TFT : What, according to you, would be the count of attendees at ALUMINIUM INDIA 2015?
SANDEEP GURWARA : Around 3500-4000.
TFT : Is there participation of any other countries apart from India at the ALUMINIUM INDIA 2015? If so, can you please name them?
SANDEEP GURWARA : The other participating countries at ALUMINIUM INDIA 2015 are France, Italy, Germany, China, Canada.
TFT : What is the frequency of the event and where will it take place?
SANDEEP GURWARA : It is a biannual event and the 5th edition is scheduled from 7-9th September 2015 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (E), Mumbai.
TFT : Is this event targeting only the International market?
SANDEEP GURWARA : The conference is not only confined to the International market. Concurrent to the Exhibition, a dedicated conference would be held, which would bring together the best available experts from the Aluminium industry. This would incorporate the entire value chain and consist of industry leaders from end-user industries, academia, plant heads from Aluminium refineries, fabricators, consultants and technology providers. It is supported by Hindalco Industries Ltd, Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre(JNARDDC), European Aluminium Foil Association (EAFA), International Bauxite, Alumina and Aluminium Centre(IBAAS).

What does ALUMINIUM INDIA 2015 has in store for their stakeholders?
SANDEEP GURWARA : India is the 8th largest Aluminium producer in the world. Over the last couple of years, there has been a noticeable shift in the geographical distribution of Aluminium production. With a steep increase in production and production plants for the metal in India, it is clearly evident that the future of Aluminium metal production is shifting towards the east. In 2008, India produced 1348000 tonnes, today India produces 3958000 tonnes portraying a substantial increase in the global market share.
The ALUMINIUM INDIA 2015 Expo is the only dedicated platform to the entire Aluminium Industry in the country. It will provide all stakeholders an opportunity to be a part of a platform dedicated to the development of the Industry, where they can exchange ideas, share successful strategies and keep up to date with the latest technologies, domestically and internationally.
What were the feedback of the participants from the previous edition?
SANDEEP GURWARA : The participants were overall satisfied with the show. They had quality visitors on their booth who were interested in evaluating the product, identifying the potential contract manufacturers, gathering product information, identifying distributors.
