The 2024 edition of Cosmoprof India commenced on December 5 at the io World Convention Centre in Mumbai, bringing to the forefront India’s rapidly expanding beauty and personal care industry. With over 700 exhibitors from 22 countries, the event highlighted the increasing global interest in India’s beauty market, which is projected to exceed $30 billion in revenue by 2025.
The exhibition is split into two distinct segments: Cosmoprof India for finished products and Cosmopack India for supply chain solutions. This year, 57% of exhibitors are international, with new country pavilions from Australia, Brazil, and Germany among the highlights. One of the key features of the event is the Cosmoprof India My Match business matchmaking platform, which facilitates connections between exhibitors and over 200 buyers from countries such as the UK, UAE, Singapore, and Sri Lanka.
Industry leaders emphasized the market’s significant growth potential. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets India, forecasted that the market would reach $34 billion by 2028, driven by a surge in demand for premium products. Antonio Bruzzone, CEO of BolognaFiere, also noted that India is Asia’s second-fastest-growing beauty market.
