DIIR Successfully Concludes Six-Day Traveling Exhibition in Minnesota

The Tibet Museum of the Department of Information and International Relations (CTA) successfully wrapped up a six-day traveling exhibition in Minnesota, USA, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote Tibetan culture and history.

Engaging the Tibetan Community and Students

The exhibition was showcased at various locations, attracting diverse audiences:

  • February 8-9: Displayed at the Minnesota Tibetan Association’s community hall, where Tibetan weekend school students and community members explored the exhibits.
  • February 10: Hosted at Macalester College, engaging around 50 students.
  • February 11-12: Held at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, drawing participation from approximately 80 university students.
  • February 13: Concluded at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, where over 120 visitors attended.

A Celebration of Tibetan Heritage and Compassion

The traveling exhibition is part of DIIR’s ‘Year of Compassion’ initiative, commemorating His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday. As part of this initiative, exhibitions were scheduled across the United States from February 3 to 24, 2025, covering New York, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Chicago.

Through these exhibitions, DIIR aims to raise awareness about Tibetan culture, history, and resilience, reaching diverse audiences across academic and cultural institutions.
