Dubai Expo’s Impact on the Success of Osaka Expo 2025

Hiroyuki Ishige, Secretary General of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, has emphasized the significant role that Dubai Expo 2020 will play in ensuring the success of the upcoming event in Japan. He highlighted the expertise gained and the exceptional organization of the UAE-hosted expo, which provided valuable lessons that will help shape Expo 2025 Osaka.

Expressing gratitude for the participation of both the UAE and Saudi Arabia which is set to host Expo 2030. Ishige acknowledged their contributions to fostering international collaboration.

A Landmark Event with Global Participation

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Ishige noted that the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka is expected to be one of the standout attractions, showcasing the country’s progress and global stature in international exhibitions.

One of the most striking features of Expo 2025 Osaka will be the Grand Ring, the world’s largest wooden structure, spanning a two-kilometre perimeter around the pavilions. The rooftop walkway will offer breathtaking panoramic views of Osaka city and its bay.

So far, 158 countries and nine international organizations have confirmed their participation, with construction work progressing steadily. Additionally, more than 50,000 volunteers have signed up to assist in organizing the event.

Expo 2025 Osaka: A Vision for the Future

Set to take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on the artificial island of Yumeshima, Expo 2025 Osaka will revolve around the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” With its ambitious vision and large scale international participation, the expo aims to shape the future through innovation, sustainability, and global cooperation.
