India's Pioneer Media on TradeFairs

Editorial – March 2019

Dear Readers,

It has been a very busy month on the work front.

So many events, much extravaganza, so much business and much to write about.

To begin with, our prayers and support goes out to the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the horrific terror attack at Pulwama.

A variety of exclusive Q & A’s have been published this month with regards to recently concluded shows and press meets.

This has been a month of Mergers and Acquisitions. Big guns like Messe Frankfurt India, Messe Düsseldorf India and Reed Exhibitions are in the news for acquisition and merging of shows. Read more on the dedicated M & A page. Also, a dedicated Focus on MICE and Focus on CHINA pages have been filtered for easy read.

Asia’s premier air show, Aero India 2019, began slow but picked up good pace and ended up saving its face. The show was surprisingly ominous for various reasons like catching fire at the parking lot where 300+ vehicles were gutted in flames and the death of Wing Commander Sahil Gandhi who passed away due to a mid-air collision during practice a day prior to the event.

If you are a trade visitor, look no further. IIDE – India’s largest Trade Fair for Dairy Industry will be open only for trade visitors. IAAPI is coming up with the 19th edition of Amusement Expo. I believe it’s time the Govt. should hand industry status and support for the Indian Amusement Industry to flourish.

In this edition, you’ll find three highly informative articles under exhibition talk with one of them being the sixth chapter from Stephen Murtagh’s book “Before You Hit The Venue.”

India Stonemart sets a new high again with the show registering inquiries worth Rs. 1850 crores. Congratulations to Rakesh Kumar for a successful IHGF Delhi fair which generatedenquiries worth Rs. 2900 crores. Vasai Industrial Expo (VIE 2019) saw big business deals coming through for Vasai based companies with a huge single order of Rs 93 lakhs giving to a company!

I request all readers to pay attention to ISH India’s conservation campaign ‘I SAVE WATER’. Believe it or not, there is a water crisis in our country and it falls on us to play our part by consciously and responsibly using water.

I would like to thank our readers for the overwhelming response on TFT’s 13th Anniversary, though the responses were delayed, we’re glad for the love you’ve showered upon us. This motivates us to work hard for you ten folds!
