FAB Show 2025 Unites India’s Textile and Apparel Ecosystem in Mumbai

The 5th edition of the Fabrics, Accessories & Beyond (FAB) Show 2025, a key event organized by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), was inaugurated by prominent leaders of India’s fashion and apparel industry at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO, Goregaon East, Mumbai.

Industry Stalwarts Grace the Inaugural Ceremony:

Eminent figures from India’s fashion and apparel industry graced the inauguration as Guests of Honour, including:

The FAB Show 2025 has garnered significant support from the Government of Maharashtra and The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI). The Curtain Raiser event was graced by Shri Sanjay Savkare, Hon’ble Minister of Textiles, Govt. of Maharashtra, as the Chief Guest.

Speaking at the inauguration, Shri Sanjay Savkare ji highlighted CMAI’s extensive national reach and its crucial role in driving the growth of India’s textile and apparel industry. He also announced the Government of Maharashtra’s plans to establish a mega textile park in Mumbai in collaboration with CMAI. This ambitious project aims to consolidate the entire textile and apparel value chain, creating a unified platform to showcase innovation, scale, and sustainability within the sector.

Strategic Partnerships and MoUs:

A key highlight of FAB Show 2025 was the participation of Chhattisgarh as the ‘Partner State’. A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Government of Chhattisgarh and CMAI to formalize the opening of a CMAI facilitation center in the state.

Spanning over 2,00,000 square feet of exhibition space, FAB Show 2025 featured:

  • 250+ exhibitors
  • 12,000+ trade visitors
  • Participation from major sourcing heads, manufacturers, designers, and retailers

Special highlights include:

  • Exclusive Surat Pavilion curated by SGCCI
  • Manufacturers from Ichalkaranji introduced by ISFMA
  • Networking sessions facilitating collaborations between fabric suppliers, brands, and corporate buyers

Sustainability and Innovation Take Centre Stage:

Reflecting CMAI’s commitment to responsible industry practices, FAB Show 2025 featured:

  • Sustainability Pavilion with 20+ eco-friendly solution providers
  • Knowledge Sessions on key topics like:
    • Sustainable Materials and Certifications
    • Textile Waste and Decarbonization
    • Transforming Apparel Businesses with AI
    • The Evolving Fashion Ecosystem

The show’s strong sustainability focus is also supported through the Sustainability & Circularity Pavilion, backed by CEE and GATS.
