Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI)’s annual trade expo ‘GATE 2025’ in Ahmedabad, with the esteemed virtual presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah. Dignitaries present at the event also unveiled the souvenir of ‘GATE 2025’. Following the inauguration, the Chief Minister toured the expo, witnessing the extensive trade exhibition. The three-day trade expo, held at Gujarat Science City, was centered around the theme ‘Gujarat’s Vision, Global Ambition’, directly reflecting the state’s strong commitment to achieving the goals outlined in ‘Vision 2047’ and positioning Gujarat as a key player in the global economy. The expo featured over 300 exhibitors and included a diverse range of panel discussions, interactive dialogues, and valuable networking sessions designed to foster collaboration and growth.
Union Home Minister Highlights Gujarat’s Role as ‘Gateway to the Global Economy’:
Addressing the attendees virtually, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah emphasized Gujarat’s significant transformation into the ‘Gateway to the Global Economy’. He lauded GCCI, established by Shri Kasturbhai Sheth, for its pivotal role in driving Gujarat’s industrial progress over the past 75 years, noting its continuous contributions not only to trade and industry advancement but also to public welfare and disaster response efforts. Shri Shah urged GCCI to develop a forward-looking roadmap aligning with Gujarat’s development for its journey towards its centennial, advocating for a modern approach encompassing digitization, youth entrepreneurship, MSME-startup connections, and ancillary industry growth, while continuing its crucial role as a policy-making bridge between the government and industry. He also acknowledged the supportive ecosystem and resource availability driving Gujarat’s remarkable industrial growth across various sectors. Shri Shah appreciated the consistent engagement of Shri Narendra Modi with GCCI and the industrial sector during his tenures as both Prime Minister and Chief Minister, emphasizing his belief in a strong industrial base for a robust economy, a vision now being successfully advanced by Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.
Chief Minister Underscores Gujarat’s ‘Earning Well, Living Well’ Mantra and GCCI’s Role in Ease of Doing Business:
Inaugurating ‘GATE 2025’, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel extended his greetings on Mahavir Jayanti. He highlighted India’s progress under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership and the parallel milestone of GCCI entering its 75th year, its own ‘Amrit Kaal’. The Chief Minister emphasized the alignment of the expo’s theme with the Prime Minister’s vision for India as a global economic and industrial leader, recalling the launch of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit during Shri Modi’s tenure as Chief Minister. He acknowledged GCCI’s significant role in bridging the gap between the government and the business community and its consistent efforts in disseminating government policies and addressing industry concerns, thereby contributing significantly to establishing Ease of Doing Business in the state. Shri Patel noted India’s progress towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy and the impetus provided by initiatives like ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’ to the manufacturing sector, positioning India as a global manufacturing hub. He highlighted Gujarat’s substantial contributions to the national GDP, exports, and industrial output, as well as its success in attracting global industries and FDI through strategic policies. The Chief Minister proudly stated Gujarat’s pioneering role in preparing the ‘Viksit Gujarat @2047’ roadmap, guided by the mantra ‘Earning Well, Living Well’ for a Viksit Bharat, aiming for a $3.5 trillion economy by 2047. He urged GCCI to lead mentorship programs and called for collective contribution towards the Prime Minister’s nine resolutions for building a Viksit Bharat.

Chairman of Zydus Lifesciences Limited Shri Pankaj Patel recognized ‘GATE 2025’ as a robust platform uniting MSMEs, diverse businesses, and entrepreneurs on GCCI’s 75th anniversary. GCCI President Shri Sandeep Engineer welcomed attendees, expressing GCCI’s commitment to ‘Vision 2047’ and a Viksit Bharat, detailing the organization’s strategies and the expo’s objectives.
