Gujarat CM introduces an Innovative Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for Regional Balanced Development and Inclusive Growth

The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Saurashtra–Kutch region is scheduled to take place in Rajkot from 10 to 12 January 2026.

Launched in 2003 under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit has firmly positioned Gujarat on the global industrial map and established the state as a ‘Gateway to the Future’ for industries and investors worldwide. Building on this legacy, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has introduced an innovative framework through the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, aimed at highlighting the distinct strengths, capabilities and development potential of Gujarat’s diverse regions.
As part of the plan to organise four regional editions of the VGRC to promote balanced regional development and inclusive growth, the Saurashtra–Kutch edition will be held in Rajkot from 10 to 12 January 2026. In the run-up to the conference, the State Government organised an interactive dialogue session in New Delhi on Friday, 12 December, to attract domestic and international investors and to present the region’s strengths and priority growth sectors.
Aligned with the theme “Regional Aspirations, Global Ambitions,” the dialogue session highlighted Gujarat’s robust ecosystem for inclusive, innovative and sustainable economic growth. Detailed deliberations were held on collaboration opportunities and B2B engagement across key sectors such as fisheries, ports, Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) and tourism. The discussions also underscored the strategic advantages of participating as a partner country in the VGRC, along with enhanced networking opportunities and logistical support.
Industry Commissioner Shri P. Swaroop shared insights into the success of the inaugural VGRC for the North Gujarat region, held in Mehsana, which resulted in the signing of MoUs worth ₹3.24 lakh crore.
The dialogue saw participation from representatives of foreign missions and embassies of more than 20 countries, including Russia, Israel, Singapore, UAE, Indonesia, New Zealand, Finland, Canada, Sri Lanka, Oman, Iceland, Guyana, Rwanda, South Africa, Qatar, Tanzania, Uganda and Uzbekistan.
The session was attended by senior officials from the Government of India, including the Joint Secretary of DPIIT, the Joint Secretary of Fisheries, and the State Facilitation Team of Invest India.
