The 42nd edition of IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 commenced today at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, bringing together the global gem and jewellery community at a time when India’s export landscape is witnessing unprecedented growth. Strengthened by a series of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with the UAE, Australia, Oman, and the United Kingdom—and with agreements expected to follow with the European Union and New Zealand—the industry is poised to expand its presence in key international markets under preferential trade terms.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Hon’ble Minister of Revenue, Government of Maharashtra, in the presence of Dr. Vijay Darda, Former Member of Rajya Sabha; Ananthanarayanan Hariharan, CEO, Damas Jewellery; Pritesh Patel, CEO & President, GIA; Dnyaneshwar Patil, Development Commissioner, SEEPZ-SEZ, Mumbai; along with Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC; Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Anil Virani, Convener – Accounts & Finance, GJEPC; and Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC.
Recognised as the world’s second-largest B2B exhibition for the gem and jewellery industry, IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 spans over 135,000 square metres across two venues and features more than 2,100 exhibitors showcasing their offerings through 3,600 stalls. The exhibition is expected to attract over 50,000 trade visitors, including more than 2,700 international buyers from over 80 countries, reinforcing its position as one of the industry’s most significant global sourcing platforms.
The event is being held at the Jio World Convention Centre (BKC) from 5–9 August, while the Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Goregaon, will host the exhibition from 6–10 August 2026. This year’s edition also marks a significant milestone, celebrating 25 years of IIJS as India’s premier B2B gem and jewellery exhibition.
Running concurrently at the Bombay Exhibition Centre is the India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME) 2026, which has emerged as the industry’s leading platform for manufacturing technologies. Featuring 249 exhibitors across 348 stalls, the expo showcases the latest advancements in jewellery manufacturing, automation, precision engineering, machinery, tools, and equipment, highlighting the sector’s continued focus on innovation, efficiency, and globally competitive production.
