Indian apparel exporters can expect some ‘Magic’ in “SOURCING at MAGIC” fair @ Las Vegas – 11-14 Feb’18
Indian apparel and garment manufacturers, having interest in export to US, can explore possibilities in the forthcoming event, viz, ‘SOURCING at MAGIC’ to beheld on February 11-14, 2018 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas. The event is organized by UBM Fashion, part of the UBM plc, United Kingdom.
The apex body of Indian apparel export, Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) would be participating in the “SOURCING at MAGIC.” According to an official circular to its members, AEPC stated that USA is the largest importer of garments with imports of over USD 84031 million, India’s garment export to USA is USD 3823 million during 2016, which amounts to around 4.6 % of USA’s total garment imports from World.
“SOURCING at MAGIC” will be a platform for more than 1500+ exhibitors including apparel, accessories and footwear resources. Over 12,800 + professionals from the industry are expected to visit the Show, strategically merchandised by country and category: contract and original design manufacturers; fabric, trim and component suppliers; and service and technology providers.
The show, to be participated by over 40 countries, is expected to attract visitors such as professionals, manufacturers, buyers, supplier, traders, designers, brand owners and retailers among others. The merchandise and accessories to be showcased include: boys, footwear, girls, infant, licensed apparel and products, private label, swimwear, outerwear, among others.
While bringing the leading influential fashion retail decision makers and the world’s top fashion brands together on a common platform, UBM Fashion claims to have serving the $1 trillion+ global fashion industry through its various trade shows. In its invitation to its members, AEPC has informed to its members that garment export products under top 18 items where India can increase its share include: Men’s/Boy’s shirts, of cotton, not knitted; Women’s/Girl’s dresses, of synthetic fibres, not knitted; Women’s/Girl’s blouses and shirts, of manmade fibres, not knitted; Men’s/Boy’s shirts, of cotton, knitted; Babies garments, cotton, knitted; Women’s/Girl’s blouses and shirts, of cotton, not knitted; Dresses of Cotton; Men’s & Boy’s shirts of MMF; Night dress & Pyjama of Cotton; Underpants & briefs of Cotton; Babies garments of Cotton; Women’s/girls skirts, of cotton, knitted; Women’s/girls jackets, of cotton, knitted; Women’s/girls jackets, of synthetic fibres, knitted; Men’s/boys jackets and blazers, of synthetic fibres, knitted; Women’s/girls trousers and shorts, of cotton, knitted, among others.
