Informa plc (LSE: INF.L), the international B2B Events, Digital Services, and Academic Markets Group, has announced the appointment of David Lynn as Chief Executive Officer of inD, its Dubai-based partnership with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
Mr. Lynn brings extensive global leadership experience, having previously served as President and CEO of ViacomCBS Networks International, a billion-dollar business operating across 180 markets with a workforce of 5,000 professionals. During his tenure, he led major digital transformation initiatives, including the rollout of streaming platforms such as Paramount+ and PlutoTV across 20 countries. He also oversaw the successful integration of key media networks including Network 10 (Australia), Telefe (Argentina), and Channel 5 (UK).
He will relocate to Dubai and assume his role as the inaugural CEO of inD from 4 May 2026. His immediate priority will be to integrate the B2B event brands and operations of DWTC and Informa under a unified structure, establishing a single operating entity with a defined growth roadmap for 2027–2029.
inD has outlined a strategic ambition to strengthen its position as a leading B2B events platform in the UAE while expanding its footprint across the IMEA (India, Middle East, and Africa) region. This expansion will be driven through new launches, brand extensions, and brand syndication initiatives.
As Informa’s largest global partnership business, inD combines DWTC’s regional expertise, market access, and institutional leadership with Informa’s operational capabilities, international reach, and portfolio of market-leading brands.
Stephen A. Carter, Group Chief Executive of Informa, stated that Mr. Lynn’s appointment reflects the company’s ambitions and the significant growth potential for high-quality B2B brands across the IMEA region and beyond.
His Excellency, Helal Saeed Almarri, Chief Executive Officer of DWTC, noted that the appointment underscores Dubai’s attractiveness as a global hub for executive talent and highlights the growth opportunities that inD represents for the international B2B events sector. He added that the organisation looks forward to working with Mr. Lynn to unlock new opportunities and strengthen global connectivity through the platform.
With this leadership appointment, inD is set to accelerate its strategic vision of building a globally connected, high-growth B2B events platform from its base in Dubai.
