MAHARASHTRA CULTURAL MINISTER ASHISH SHELAR INAUGURATES KALA GHODA ARTS FESTIVAL 2025

The Kala Ghoda arts Festival 2025 in Mumbai, marking its silver jubilee, was inaugurated on January 25, 2025, by Ashish Shelar, Maharashtra’s Minister of Cultural affairs and Information Technology, who also served as the chief guest. The event kicked off with great enthusiasm, setting the stage for the city’s largest cultural celebration. Known for its vibrant cultural displays, this year’s festival highlighted the innovation and energy of the youth. One of the major attractions was the Dadasaheb Phalke Film City exhibit, which featured a stunning sculpture of a silver screen cinematic horse, conceptualized by Swati Mhase Patil, celebrating Phalke’s artistic contributions.

In addition to the festival, Shelar attended the closing ceremony of a rare postage stamp exhibition organized by India Post at the World Trade Centre. The exhibition drew a large crowd, especially youth, eager to explore the collection of unique stamps. Shelar also felicitated the winners of a stamp collection competition held as part of the event.
