Melbourne to host one of the world’s largest business events

The Allan Labor Government plans to hold one of the world’s major business events in Melbourne next year, underscoring its commitment to assisting businesses. Minister of Major Events Steve Dimopoulos, ICC Secretary General John W.H. Denton, Victorian Chamber CEO Paul Guerra, and Melbourne Convention Bureau CEO Julia Swanson announced a new partnership to host the 14th World Chambers Congress in Melbourne.

The World Chambers Congress, sometimes known as the ‘Business Olympics,’ will take place from September 2 to 4, 2025, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. s 2,000 business leaders, government and trade delegations, and local entrepreneurs from all around the world arrive in Melbourne for the event, Victorian enterprises will be highlighted globally.

This Congress provides a unique opportunity to share ideas and best practices in global chamber operations and international business. It will attract key government representatives from major economies, opening up new trade, investment, and collaboration opportunities for Victoria. Melbourne has gained the privilege to host the 14th World Chambers Congress in December 2022, demonstrating Victoria’s status as a leading location for important business events.
