Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 on Monday at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (ECC) in Rajasthan. The summit, under the theme ‘Replete, responsible, Ready’ commenced at 10:30 A.M. and showcased Rajasthan’s vast potential as a hub for investment and business. Scheduled from December 9 to 11, the three-day event featured the Rajasthan Global Business Expo. Its primary objective is to position Rajasthan as a progressive, sustainable destination for global investments. With over 5,000 participants, the summit attracted leading industry figures, investors, and international dignitaries. notable attendees included Gautam Adani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, Anand Mahindra, Sanjiv Puri, and Ajay S Shriram. Diplomatic representatives from 32 countries, such as Japan, Switzerland, Singapore, Denmark, and South Korea, also joined the event, with 17 countries serving as official partners.
The summit started with a keynote address from Prime Minister Modi, following a welcome speech by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. The event featured 12 regional thematic sessions, addressing critical issues such as water security, sustainable mining, inclusive tourism, agri-business innovation, sustainable finance, and women-led startups. Additionally, eight country-specific sessions will facilitate international partnerships with Rajasthan. Roundtable discussions and networking opportunities were organized, enabling industry leaders and policymakers to explore investment prospects within the state.
