On the opening day of the SiGMA Euro-Med event, the Prime Minister of Malta, Hon. Robert Abela, visited the Mediterranean Maritime Hub (MMH), where he toured several exhibition booths and engaged in conversation with company representatives.
The Hon. Robert Abela was accompanied on his visit by the Minister for Economy, Investment and Small Businesses, Silvio Schembri, and SiGMA Group Founder Eman Pulis.
During the event, the Prime Minister personally welcomed a distinguished lineup of companies representing the global gaming and tech sectors. Among those greeted were industry leaders such as BetConstruct, Amusnet, 1xBet, NuxGame, SoftGamings, Alea, and Exa Gaming, alongside service providers like GBO International Financial Services and EGT Digital. Also in attendance were representatives from GamingMalta, a cornerstone of Malta’s success as a global hub for gaming innovation and regulation.
Additionally the expo tour featured a visit to the booth of the Malta Ministry for Gozo. Together with InvestGozo, the Ministry is a key partner of this year’s SiGMA Affiliate Retreat — held in Gozo from the 28th to the 30th, and an exclusive VIP day which included a trip to the Innovation Hub on the 1st. These high-level gatherings support an ongoing mission to position Gozo as a strategic hub for sustainable investment and innovation.
Their tour followed the opening ceremony to launch SiGMA Euro-Med 2025, during which Ivan Filletti, CEO of GamingMalta, and Eman Pulis, Founder of SiGMA Group, participated in an official ribbon cutting ceremony.
The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Minister for the Environment, Energy and Public Cleanliness, the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, and the Minister for European Funds and the Implementation of the Electoral Programme. They were joined by the Principal Parliamentary Secretary Tony Sultana, the Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government Alison Civelli, and the Parliamentary Secretary for Public Works Omar Farrugia.
