CEPC SHOWCASES INDIA’S HANDMADE CARPET EXCELLENCE AT HEIMTEXTIL 2025 IN FRANKFURT

The Carpet export Promotion Council (CEPC) proudly participated in Heimtextil 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for home textiles, held from January 14 to 17, 2025, in Frankfurt, Germany. The event served as a significant platform to highlight India’s exceptional craftsmanship and diversity in handmade carpets and rugs, reinforcing the country’s reputation as a global leader in this sector. The Indian textile industry had a robust presence at the event, with over 500 participants, including approximately 100 exhibitors from the carpet and rugs sector. Key manufacturing hubs such as Bhadohi, Panipat, and Jaipur were prominently represented, further showcasing India’s stronghold in the international handmade carpet market.

The Indian Pavilion at Heimtextil 2025 was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, in the presence of Rohit Kansal, additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and B.S. Mubarak, Consul General of India in Frankfurt, Germany. Addressing the gathering, the Minister emphasized India’s growing importance in meeting global textile demands, reflecting the country’s expanding influence in the international textile industry. Heimtextil 2025 provided an excellent opportunity for CEPC and other Textile export Promotion Councils (EPCs) to collaboratively promote India’s rich textile heritage. The event featured over 3,000 exhibitors from 65 countries, reinforcing its status as a key hub for textile interior design innovations. The introduction of Heimtextil Trends 25/26, curated by the Milan-based design platform Alcova, presented groundbreaking and sustainable solutions for the industry.

Heimtextil 2025 provided an excellent opportunity for CEPC and other Textile export Promotion Councils (CEPCs) to collaboratively promote India’s rich textile heritage. The event featured over 3,000 exhibitors from 65 countries, reinforcing its status as a key hub for textile interior design innovations. CEPC remains committed to empowering Indian exporters by offering international platforms like Heimtextil to expand their global footprint and secure new trade opportunities. Participants at the CEPC Pavilion reported productive engagements with potential buyers, who expressed great interest and admiration for India’s extensive handmade carpet offerings. CEPC also actively promoted bharat Tex 2025, inviting international buyers to participate and further strengthening India’s presence in the global textile arena. The successful participation at Heimtextil 2025 is expected to have a lasting impact on India’s handmade carpet industry, reinforcing the country’s legacy of craftsmanship and innovation. CEPC remains optimistic that this milestone event will further enhance India’s position in the global market and create new avenues for growth and collaboration.
