Claire Steinbrück to Lead New Corporate Division “Global Corporate Development and Strategy” at Messe Düsseldorf
Messe Düsseldorf is strengthening its global growth initiative by launching a new corporate division, “Global Corporate Development and Strategy.” Starting in 2025, the division will be headed by Claire Steinbrück (42), who will join the management board of Messe Düsseldorf and report directly to President & CEO, Wolfram. Diener. This move underscores the increasing importance of international expansion for the company, while also broadening its management team to further drive global development.

Driving Internationalization Efforts: In her new role, Steinbrück will work to enhance Messe Düsseldorf’s global network, ensuring that its organizational structures and processes effectively support the company’s ongoing international business expansion. The aim is to adapt Messe Düsseldorf’s global product portfolio to meet the evolving needs of customers while further establishing Düsseldorf as a leading trade fair hub. In 2023, 78% of exhibitors in Düsseldorf came from abroad, and 39% of visitors were international. Steinbrück looks forward for her new role: “Messe Düsseldorf is one of the most successful trade fair companies in the world. Extensive Experience in the Trade Fair Sector: Steinbrück brings over a decade of leadership experience in the trade fair industry. She began her career with Messe Frankfurt in Mexico and Argentina before joining Messe Frankfurt.
Exhibition GmbH in 2008 as a project manager for Innovation Management. In 2012, she was appointed Deputy Director of the German Pavilion at EXPO Milano 2015. In 2016, she moved to Koelnmesse GmbH, where she held various roles, most recently serving as Divisional Director for Trade Fair Management, overseeing Koelnmesse’s global food technology trade fair portfolio. In her new role at Messe Düsseldorf, Steinbrück will leverage her vast industry expertise to optimize the company’s position in international markets.
Strategic Vision for Growth: Messe Düsseldorf has made significant strides in global expansion in recent years, with key initiatives such as 29 new international events since 2023, the creation of the “Messe Düsseldorf for sia” network (MDf) through the integration of five Asian subsidiaries, and a 50% stake in the joint venture “Hannover Messe nkiros Fuarcılık A.S.” in Ankara. The formation of the “Global Corporate Development and Strategy” division reflects these efforts and will incorporate departments like “Corporate Business Development,” “Sales Development,” “International Business,” and the new “Corporate Development” unit. Wolfram .
