The Electronics Design and Assembly Expo is gearing up to make its return to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 7–8 May 2025.
First launched in 2010 and alternating between Melbourne and Sydney, Electronex has established itself as Australia’s leading exhibition for companies engaged in electronics design, assembly, manufacturing, and servicing.
Alongside the exhibition, the SMCBA Electronics Design and Manufacture Conference will be hosted, featuring a series of technical workshops delivered by both international and local industry experts.
This year, Electronex will once again be co-located with Australian Manufacturing Week (AMW), allowing trade visitors access to both events across Wednesday and Thursday.
“We are thrilled to be co-locating Electronex with Australia’s premier manufacturing showcase, utilizing over 27,000 sqm of exhibition space at the MCEC,” said Noel Gray, Managing Director of AEE, the organizers of Electronex.
He added, “Hundreds of exhibitors will engage directly with thousands of trade visitors, creating the largest gathering for the manufacturing sector in the country. Electronex, with its focus on high-tech manufacturing, now enables visitors to experience the full spectrum of cutting-edge products, technologies, and turnkey solutions all under one roof.”
Registration Details:
Visitors must register separately for each event, either online ahead of time or onsite at the Expo entrances.
About the Show:
This year’s Electronex is fully booked and will showcase a diverse array of products, including electronic components, surface mount technology, inspection equipment, test and measurement solutions, and various supporting services.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to connect directly with contract manufacturers specializing in the design and production of turnkey solutions tailored to specific needs.
As Australia’s only dedicated electronics industry event, Electronex consistently attracts a professional audience comprising designers, engineers, managers, and key decision-makers involved in product development and manufacturing.
In fact, a post-event survey following the 2023 Melbourne show revealed that 98% of attendees found a specialised exhibition like Electronex highly beneficial to the industry.
With a growing focus on niche and high-tech manufacturing among Australian companies, the event plays a critical role as a hub for innovation and industry collaboration.
