HarmaTech expo 2025 & LabTech expo 2025, held from January 8 to 10, 2025, at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), provided invaluable opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect with industry leaders, pioneers, and pharma professionals. The event facilitated new business contracts, allowing attendees to engage with suppliers and innovators in the pharmaceutical sector. The expo received widespread acclaim from exhibitors, visitors, industry leaders, and association office bearers, who highlighted its significance as a long-awaited event for Karnataka and southern India’s pharmaceutical and machinery sector.
Spanning 10,000 square meters, the exhibition hosted over 156 exhibitors showcasing machinery and equipment for drug production and pharmaceutical products. additionally, 60 MSME units participated under the MSME PMS Scheme, contributing to the diverse representation of companies from states including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, and Himachal Pradesh. The three-day event attracted 4,000 visitors. based on feedback from participants and attendees, it is estimated that the exhibiting companies secured orders worth approximately rs. 150 crore during the expo.
The Karnataka Drugs & Pharmaceutical Manufacturers association (KDPMA) also organized a seminar on “Generation of Wealth from Waste” on January 8, 2025, led by Prakash Venkatesan, chief navigator at Essae Chandran Institute. The “SME-Connect” Program, as a precursor to the Global Investor Meet – Invest Karnataka 2025, was organized by the Government of Karnataka and Invest Karnataka Forum on January 8, with Nitesh Patil, IAS, Director (MSME), serving as the chief guest. Experts such as K M Jagadeesh, COO of Invest Karnataka Forum, and Vasuki Kasyap, partner engagement at Industry 4.0, discussed the role of SMEs in the state’s business ecosystem.

On January 9, a seminar and panel discussion on “enhancing Eu-India Pharmaceutical Sector” was held, featuring speakers such as Robin Banerjee, Senior VP at the Eu Chambers, who chaired the panel discussion on unlocking growth in the Eu-India pharma sector. Dinesh Gundu rao, Minister of Health & Family Welfare for Karnataka, officially inaugurated the event. He praised the state’s transformative initiatives in the health sector, which have contributed to the swift development of Karnataka’s pharmaceutical industry. Nitesh Patil commended the “SME Connect” program and suggested PharmaTech join future initiatives by the Government of Karnataka. Raja Bhanu, Director General of the Pharmaceuticals export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil), congratulated the organizers and support associations for their continued success in growing the event.
