Exhicon Mohali Convention Centre Unveiled at High-Level Press Conference in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, April 2026: A significant step towards strengthening Punjab’s exhibition and convention infrastructure was marked today during a joint press conference held at Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh. The briefing was led by Hon’ble Minister of Industries, Punjab, Shri Sanjiv Arora, along with Mr. M.Q. Syed, Chairman of Exhicon Group, who shared key insights into the upcoming Exhicon Mohali Convention Centre project.

Addressing the media, Shri Sanjiv Arora highlighted the state government’s commitment to developing world-class infrastructure that can position Punjab as a competitive destination for exhibitions, conventions, and business events. He emphasised that such initiatives will not only boost industrial growth but also generate employment and attract national and international investments.

Mr. M.Q. Syed elaborated on the vision behind the Exhicon Mohali Convention Centre, describing it as a future-ready venue designed to meet global standards. He noted that the project aims to create a dynamic platform for trade shows, conferences, and large-scale industry gatherings, thereby contributing to the region’s economic and business ecosystem.

Mr. M.Q. Syed also highlighted the growing need of indoor exhibition space in India and thanked the Punjab Government for their initiative to build a world class event venue under public-private partnership model.

The press conference was also attended by key industry leaders including Mr. S.M. Qasim, Chief Editor of Trade Fair Times and Director at Exhicon Group; Mr. Rahul Shah, Director of Exhicon Nexinfra; and Mr. Asab Mehdi, CXO of Exhicon Group. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort behind the project and its strategic importance to the exhibitions industry.

The Exhicon Mohali Convention Centre is envisioned as a landmark development that will elevate Punjab’s position on the national MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) map. With advanced infrastructure and a focus on delivering high-quality event experiences, the project is expected to attract a wide spectrum of industry stakeholders.
